How does a medical savings plan work?

Members select dentists, pharmacies and other providers from a vast list of network providers, and show their ID cards to receive immediate discounts for dental procedures and so much more.

You have many choices, but there are 4 important features to consider when selecting a medical savings plan: ·

  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Easy access to friendly and knowledgeable Member Services Staff

[4] This Plan is FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY. It includes a discount package, which consists of excellent savings on Dental, Vision, Prescription drugs, Labs, Imaging and Chiropractic Care. As an added separate benefit all members also receive limited accident medical and accidental death & dismemberment insurance.

[8] This Plan includes a Fully Insured Prescription Drug Card with a $15.00 Copay on Generic Drugs and a discount plan which provides excellent savings on Dental, Vision, Lab, Imaging and Chiropractic Care.

*The discount portion of this plan is not insurance but provides discounts at network providers who require payment at the time of service.
**The Accident Plan and PharmCard ARE insurance and are administered by US Benefits Advisors through the American Savers Business Alliance Association.
*** All members of the USBA Basic, Basic Plus, or Power Advantage Plus plans are enrolled into the Consumer Alliance USA Association to be eligible to receive these benefits. The benefits are underwritten by an A.M. Best rated insurance company and subject to the exclusions, limitations, terms and conditions of coverage as set forth in the insurance certificate provided in your membership materials and the Policy issued to Consumer Alliance USA.

 The discount medical card program is NOT health insurance.
 The plan provides discounts at certain health care providers for medical services.
 The plan does not make payments directly to the providers of medical services.
 The range of discounts for medical or ancillary services provided under the plan will vary depending on the type of provider and medical or ancillary services received.
 The plan member is obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those health care providers who have contracted with VantageAmerica Solutions, Inc., a discount medical plan organization.

Membership in the discount drug plan entitles members to discounts for certain pharmaceutical supplies, prescription drugs, or medical equipment and supplies offered by providers who have agreed to participate in the discount drug plan; The discount drug plan organization does not pay providers of pharmaceutical supplies, prescription drugs, and medical equipment and supplies provided to plan members. The discount drug plan member is required to pay for all pharmaceutical supplies.
